North Cyprus rider Ada Şerif Sandallı has won the individual gold medal in the Juniors category at the 2026 Balkan Equestrian Championship in Greece, according to Halkın Sesi.

The result gives the 15-year-old a second consecutive individual Balkan title, the newspaper reported. Sandallı won the championship in the Stars category in 2025 before stepping up to the Juniors category this year.

Halkın Sesi reported that Sandallı competed for the Turkish national team. The newspaper described her selection for the team’s Stars category in 2025 as the first of its kind for a rider from North Cyprus.

Alongside her individual title in 2025, Sandallı also won a team gold medal with the Turkish national team, according to the report.

Her next stated aim is to take part in major European equestrian competitions while representing the Turkish national team and North Cyprus.
